A Day for the Birds 2009
A Day For The Birds 2009 was held Saturday June 6th from 1:00-4:00pm.

|
Despite the rainy and wet weather throughout the day, visitors enjoyed learning more about the birds of North Dakota through the various hands-on and interactive stations.
The picture to the left shows a part of the presentation on bird watching tips and tricks - one of several interactive activities during the day.
A special Thank You to Clark Talkington for the engaging presentations with helpful bird watching tips!

|
A few of the other activities visitors enjoyed during the day included building a Tray Birdfeeder (shown on the left) with pinecones or cardboard tubes and peanut butter, a challenging Bird Quiz, decorating a bird stamp Bookmark to take home, a Feely Meely Box for those who were feeling adventurous, and creative Bird Art featuring penguins.
A popular Scheduled Event that took place due to the rainy weather outside:
Water Birds of North Dakota A presentation for visitors to learn from an expert about birds that can be spotted near the lakes and rivers of North Dakota.

|
A special Thank You to Pat Lothspeich, Outreach Biologist, ND Game & Fish, for his Water Birds of North Dakota presentation on birds that live near water in North Dakota!
