TREE TRADING CARDS

As a learning tool to help Envirothon teams, a series of "trading card" sets have been or are being produced for use by teams and for other educators. A suggested donation of $1 per set of 25 cards, plus the cost of S&H, is recommended.

TREE TRADING CARDS

The first set of trading cards created by C2E2 were the tree trading cards, representing the 25 native and most common found species of trees in North Dakota. The cards provide a picture of the tree and a leaf, as well as other useful information.

MACRO CARDS

Macroinvertebrates are bottom-dwelling, aquatic organisms large enough to see with the naked eye. Different species of macroinvertebrates have different levels of tolerance to water pollution. By identifying the species of macroinvertebrates in a body of water, you can estimate the quality of water that is present. Macroinvertebrates are directly affected by what happens in a stream. If someone would like additional information about macroinvertebrates they can visit the on-line key at www.waterbugkey.vcsu.edu.
